This Labor Day weekend, Made in America music festival returns to the Ben Franklin Parkway, along with a hundred thousand-plus fans and hip hop stars such as Jay-Z and J. Cole.
The proceeds from this festival will benefit Philadelphia communities via United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey and the American Civil Liberties Union of Pennsylvania (ACLU).
Stimulus, a local tech startup that helps social enterprises and nonprofits access the capital they need to thrive, is hosting a Facebook live panel event to discuss how music and culture can contribute to the progress we need in early education and criminal justice reform. The broadcasted panel, “In Progress We Trust,” will feature speakers from both benefitting nonprofits as well as two Philly-based recording artists.
